BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2026 -_____ <br /> <br />AUTHORIZATION TO EXECUTE A LEASE FOR PROPERTY AT BOWERS FIELD <br /> <br />WHEREAS: Kittitas County owns and leases property at Bowers Field Airport within the <br />Aeronautical Area for aviation purpose; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS: Department of Natural Resources wants to conduct business related to <br />all aspects of the Department of Natural Resources located within the <br />Aeronautical Area on Lot H-1A being 13.14 acres of Bowers Field <br />Binding Site Plan; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS: The lease term is twenty (20) years ending September 1, 2046; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS: The lease rate will be $0.20 multiplied by the rent square footage for an annual <br />rent of $72,745.20 to be paid annually; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS: The Kittitas County Board of County Commissioners did hold the required public <br />hearing considering the lease on September 1, 2026. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners, in the <br />best interest of the public, does hereby authorize the execution of the attached lease for property <br />at Bowers Field Airport, Lot H-1A. <br /> <br />DATED this 1st day of September 2026, at Ellensburg, Washington. <br /> <br /> BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br /> KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br /> <br /> <br /> ________________________________ <br /> Brett Wachsmith, Chairman <br />Attest: <br /> <br />☐ Clerk of the Board- Julie Kjorsvik ________________________________ <br />Laura Osiadacz, Vice-Chairman <br />☐ Deputy Clerk of the Board- Mandy Buchholz <br /> _______________________________ ________________________________ <br /> Commissioner <br />
