<br /> <br /> <br />KITTITAS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: September 1, 2026 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Hold a Public Hearing to consider a Lease with Department of <br />Natural Resources for property located at Kittitas County Airport, <br />Bowers Field <br /> <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: Department of Natural Resources (DNR) has requested a new land <br />lease at Bowers Field. DNR originally entered into a lease with the <br />County for Lot H-1A May 11, 1977. During the time period of the <br />original lease DNR constructed improvements on the site and <br />continuously occupied the lot. Department of Natural Resources <br />desires to enter a new Lease for Lot H-1A of Bowers Field. A new <br />lease has been drafted for consideration. <br /> <br />INTERACTION: Public Works; Prosecuting Attorney’s Office; Department of Natural <br />Resources <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: Hold a Public Hearing to consider a Lease with Department of <br />Natural Resources for County property located at Bowers Field. <br /> <br />HANDLING: Return One original to Public Works <br /> <br />ATTACHMENTS: Resolution, Lease <br /> <br />LEAD STAFF: Josh Fredrickson, Public Works Director <br />
