KITTITAS COUNTY <br />Board of County Commissioners <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />AGENDA DATE: August 5, 2026 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Recommend Boards Signature on Change Order Number 15 with <br />Belsaas and Smith Construction, Inc. <br />BACKGROUND: On September 3, 2024, the Board of County Commissioners approved <br />a resolution to award the bid for the Lower County Transfer station to <br />Belsaas & Smith Construction Inc. <br />We have completed the review of change order proposals (COP) COP <br />74, 75 and #76. These proposals have been incorporated into Change <br />Order No. 15 and is ready for the Boards approval and signature. <br />INTERACTION: Belsaas & Smith Construction, and SCS Engineers <br />RECOMMENDATION: Recommend Boards approval and signature on Change Order No. 15 <br />with Belsaas & Smith Construction. <br />HANDLING: Original — Clerk of the Board <br />ATTACHMENTS: Change Order No. 15 with attached COP's. <br />LEAD STAFF: Patti Stacey, Facilities and Waste Operations Director <br />
