NATURAL WATERS
Hungry Junction lmprovement Proiect lune 4,2025
of the site, including photographs taken during the site reconnaissance. The memo will include
key hydraulic information needed for permit application.
Assumptions:
. Up to 60 hours for a Principal and 8 hours for an Administrative Assistant are available for
Task 2.7.
o A draft version of the memo will be provided to KCPW for review and one set of
combined comments.
Task 2.8 Final Hydraulic Basis of Design Memo
Upon concurrence of resolution of comments from the draft memo (Task 2.7) and obtaining
permits, the memo will be finalized. The scour analysis (Task 2.5) based on the geotechnical and
structure information provided by KCPW and updates from permitting will be incorporated into
the Final memo.
Assumptions:
o A draft version of the Final memo will be provided to KCPW for review and one set of
combined comments.
. Up to 20 hours for a Principal and 4 hours for an Administrative Assistant are available for
Task 2.8.
Task 2.9 Channel, LWM and Revelment Design
Natural Waters will design the proposed channel, LWM and revetment necessary for the Hungry
Junction water crossing. The design will allow for natural stream processes to the extent
practicable given project constraints (e.g., ROW, adjacent infrastructure, project costs, etc'). The
design will focus on creating a sustainable creek cross section, profile, and alignmenU which will
aim to reduce future maintenance while providing suitable habitat for aquatic organisms based
on WDFW criteria. Calculations will be provided in the Final memo (Task 2.8).
Assumptions:
o The channel, LWM and revetment design will only be in the vicinity of the Hungry
Junction water crossing. Transitions will be discussed with KCPW to tie into the existing
banks upstream and downstream of the project limits provided by KCPW.
o The Reecer Creek design will have similar geomorphic features (e.g', creek substrate) as
the upstream and downstream reaches of Reecer Creek.
o lt is assumed that any scour/bank protection will consist of a rock revetment with
potential incorPoration of LWM.
e All CAD work and plan sheet development will be performed by KCPW staff.
. Up to 24 hours are available for Task 2.9.
4lPage
