1/26/2026 MINUTES 2 <br />Mr. Kinney reported that the IT department is making progress with <br />replacing the County’s intranet. Mr. Kinney suggested for the Board to <br />begin looking into moving the platform to Microsoft Sharepoint which <br />IT Director Doug Fessler explained is similar to a “miniblog”. <br />Mr.Fessler explained that the County is heavily invested in Microsoft’s <br />software economy and predicts that Sharepoint will become the County’s <br />new intranet platform. <br /> <br />Other <br />Business <br />EXECUTIVE SESSION IT <br /> <br />At 11:09 a.m., Chairman Wright announced the Board would recess into <br />an Executive Session for 10 minutes with HR Director Jeanne Killgore, <br />IT Director Doug Fessler, Assistant IT Director Zane Kinney, and <br />Infrastructure Manager Bill Davis under RCW 42.30.110 (g) To evaluate <br />the qualifications of an applicant for public employment or to review <br />the performance of a public employee. However, subject to <br />RCW 42.30.140(4), discussion by a governing body of salaries, wages, <br />and other conditions of employment to be generally applied within the <br />agency shall occur in a meeting open to the public, and when a governing <br />body elects to take final action hiring, setting the salary of an <br />individual employee or class of employees, or discharging or <br />disciplining an employee, that action shall be taken in a meeting open <br />to the public. No action was anticipated. <br /> <br />At 11:19 a.m., The Board extended the session for another 5 minutes. <br />At 11:24 a.m., the Board reconvened out of Executive Session.
