Porterfield shared that the Rodeo Association was able to secure the land the radio station
was on, so that was positive news, so they didn't lose valuable space for Labor Day weekend. A
question was brought up about the PUD property and potential future sale. Porterfield had not
heard anything recent on when that could be happening but has been in discussion with the
Rodeo Board about future uses, if it does come up for sale. The Commissioners both agreed this
is something to keep on the radar as it is also a valuable piece of information regarding the
KVEC Master Plan update in 2027 (pending budget approval).
Furthering discussion of updates to the Master Plan, the current bowling alley lease was
mentioned, and Stacey shared their lease has been extended to the end of this year. She will be
sending a letter to the lessee soon about not maintaining the parking lot area and requesting more
information on future timeline of opening. Porterfield shared the Fair is still concerned about the
future loss of the some of the parking area based on the terms in the lease. She would encourage
a renegotiation on those terms upon a lease renewal to solve the detriment to the Fair.
9.
