From: robert hosmer
To: Jeremy Johnston
Cc: Laura Osiadacz
Subject: Easton Subarea Plan
Date: Tuesday,April 21,2026 12:03:57 PM
CAUTION: This email originated from outside the Kittitas County network. Do not click
links, open attachments, fulfill requests, or follow guidance unless you recognize the sender
and have verified the content is safe.
I am writing to formally express my opposition to the proposed Easton Subarea Plan. As a
long-time resident and business owner in Easton, I believe that unincorporated Easton should
be left alone, with matters handled by the county only as needed.
I specifically do not approve of the "build one voice" initiative and request its removal. I am
capable of representing myself and do not require a group to speak on my behalf. Furthermore,
I am concerned about the proposal for visitor restrooms and a "day use area." In my opinion,
these additions will lead to increased garbage, homeless encampments, and drug use.
I also find the plans for sidewalks, sewer systems, and street lights to be unnecessary. Since
parking is available in front of the only business in town, sidewalks are obsolete for our
community. Finally, I was not previously aware of the group attempting to implement these
changes and do not believe a 501(c) should be allowed to operate in this capacity for our small
community.
Thank you for your time and for considering my feedback on these matters.
Thank you
Robert Hosmer
