What We Heard
The first portion of the meeting was structured as an open house featuring a series of informational
and interactive boards. During this time, attendees had the opportunity to speak directly with the
project team, ask questions, and discuss the CSAP.
Following is a sample of feedback the project team heard throughout the evening for the interactive
board voting activity focusing on future action strategies. This activity allowed participants to vote on
key non-engineering countermeasures. The highest ranked actions are as follows, also shown in
Figure 5:
•Develop an enhanced shuttle service to serve Snoqualmie Pass during high demand tourist
seasons.
•Reduce pedestrian crossing distances by implementing roadway reconfigurations, reducing lane
widths, and providing refuge islands on wider roads based on context. Implement appropriate
countermeasures to improve pedestrian crossings on multilane roads with higher speeds.
•Implement carpool incentives during winter travel to the ski resort.
•Ongoing public private partnership for future parking garage development. Removing parking on
one side of SR 906 in front of Summit Central.
•Ensure consistent enforcement of existing parking regulations.
•Install cameras to display real-time congestion conditions on SR 906.
Figure 5: Action Plan & Implementation Strategies Board Activity
Appendix D | 5
