Transportation On -Call
Ardurra Group, Inc.
Environmental: Environmental documentation tasks have been mostly completed by
the county with assistance from Jacobs Engineering. Finalization of all environmental
documentation will be completed by the county and/or Jacobs. This scope of work does
not include completion of environmental documentation or any other
environmental/permitting tasks. Ardurra will support the county and other consultants
environmental efforts by providing design data, figures, and other information needed
for the JARPA and other permit requirements.
Box Culvert Structure: The project includes removal of two existing culverts on
Reecer Creek near the intersection of Hungry Junction Road and Faust Road.
Preliminary coordination regulatory agencies performed by the county has indicated
that the new structure will a box culvert designed according to WSDOT Standard Plans.
The county, in conjunction with Jacobs, has established concurrence from the Army
Corps of Engineers and Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife on the approach
described above.
This scope of work does not include structural engineering. Structural design is
provided by WSDOT standard plans. The box structure will be included in the project
per the guidance in the document provided by the county entitled "Structure
Justification_ Hungry Junction Road Over Reecer Creek"
Finalization of all environmental documentation and agency concurrence for the box
culvert replacement will be completed by the county with assistance as needed from
Jacobs. This scope of work does not include completion of environmental
documentation or permitting tasks.
The county with assistance from another consultant, Natural Waters, will provide the
hydrologic and hydraulic modeling required to design the structure geometry. This
scope of work does not include completion of hydrologic or hydraulic modeling.
The county with assistance from Geosyntec has completed geotechnical work related
to the structure. This scope of work does not include additional geotechnical work for
the box culvert structure.
• Irrigation and Utilities. It is anticipated that irrigation (both piped systems and ditch
systems) will be impacted by the project. It is anticipated that Ardurra will identify
conflicts between the project and existing irrigation and utility facilities, attempt to find
design solutions to minimize conflict, and identify irrigation and utility facilities that will
need to be relocated.
It is assumed that the county will lead coordination with effected irrigation districts and
utility providers to have these facilities relocated ahead of the project. Ardurra will
support the counties efforts by providing design information as needed.
