Response 3: Describe how you will promote your event/activity/facility to attract tourists.*
4| Collaboration
Our marketing strategy for Junk-tiquen Vintage Markets is designed to attract tourists from outside the immediate area and
ensure a broad, diverse audience. By leveraging Ellensburg’s central location, strong vendor networks, and targeted multi-state
advertising, we will draw visitors from across Washington and neighboring regions.
Targeted Marketing Approach:
• Western Washington: We will focus on urban centers and surrounding communities, where vintage markets are especially
popular, to attract dedicated shoppers.
• Central Washington: Marketing will highlight easy access from Wenatchee, Moses Lake, and the Tri-Cities, where visitors are
eager for weekend destinations.
• Eastern Washington: Regional ads and vendor promotion will engage attendees from Spokane and surrounding rural areas.
• Out-of-State Outreach: We’ll extend outreach into Oregon and Idaho, targeting vintage lovers and tourists who travel for artisan
markets and curated events.
Vendor Collaboration:
Our vendors are one of our most powerful marketing tools. Participants join us from across the region, including Sandpoint (ID),
Hermiston (OR), Waterville, Moses Lake, Puyallup, Edmonds, and Spokane. Each vendor brings loyal customers and followers
who help expand our reach through social media shares, email newsletters, and word-of-mouth referrals. Their promotion helps
generate excitement in communities well beyond Kittitas County.
Community & Tourism Integration:
Junk-tiquen doesn’t just promote the event, we promote the entire county experience. Our website and social platforms highlight
local accommodations, restaurants, and attractions in Ellensburg, Kittitas, Cle Elum, Roslyn, and beyond. This increases
overnight stays, restaurant visits, and retail traffic during market weekends.
Cross-Promotion & Regional Collaboration:
We align our campaigns with other local events and tourism initiatives to reinforce Ellensburg and Kittitas County as a vibrant
destination. Flyers, posters, and digital ads are distributed across Washington, Oregon, and Idaho, while shared tourism
calendars and event partnerships help broaden visibility.
2500 character limit
Application Questions: Part 3
