Response 4.2: Describe how you will promote lodging establishments, restaurants, and business located in Kittitas County *
Response 4.3: Is there a host hotel for your event or grant project? If yes, list the hotel.*
5| Future Plans
Response 5: Please explain what plans exist to allow this project to become self-sustaining. Include any plans for ticket sales,
event sponsors, and other cost-recovery models.*
We actively promote lodging, dining, and business establishments throughout Kittitas County by integrating them into our
community events and outreach efforts.
Vendor Market Inclusion: Local businesses are invited to participate in our vendor markets, giving them direct access to event
attendees. This year, we’ve featured several local farms and nonprofits by waiving vendor fees, ensuring their visibility and
encouraging community engagement.
Local Talent and Services: We hire local bands and AV companies to support event production, which not only enhances the
experience for guests but also provides economic support to regional service providers.
Cross-Promotion and Digital Campaigns: We highlight lodging and dining options in our promotional materials and digital
campaigns, encouraging visitors to explore and stay in the area. This integrated approach ensures that our events not only
attract tourists but also drive economic benefit to the broader Kittitas County community.
2500 character limit
No
Yes Suncadia Resort
To ensure the long-term sustainability of Wine in the Pines, we are implementing a multi-pronged strategy focused on revenue
generation, cost recovery, and strategic partnerships. While the event is free and open to the public, we have built in scalable
components that will allow us to grow responsibly while maintaining a high-quality guest experience.
Ticket Sales: Wine tasting cards are available for purchase and serve as a primary revenue stream. As the event grows in
popularity and expands its winery offerings, we plan to increase the price of tasting tickets incrementally to reflect the enhanced
value and experience. This adjustment will help offset rising costs while remaining accessible to attendees.
Event Sponsorships: We will continue to pursue event sponsorships from regional businesses, hospitality partners, and lifestyle
brands. Sponsors receive promotional visibility through signage, digital media, and event materials. As the event grows, we will
offer tiered sponsorship packages that include naming rights, VIP activations, and co-branded marketing opportunities—creating
a mutually beneficial model that supports both the event and local commerce.
Vendor Participation Fees: Food and beverage vendors, artists, and retail participants contribute through participation fees,
which help cover infrastructure and marketing expenses. These fees are scaled to ensure accessibility while supporting
operational needs.
In-Kind Contributions: We will continue to leverage in-kind support from community partners for services such as volunteer
staffing, equipment rentals, and promotional services. These contributions reduce overhead and strengthen local engagement.
Integration with Suncadia’s Hospitality Strategy: Wine in the Pines is integrated into Suncadia’s broader hospitality and real
estate marketing strategy, allowing us to utilize existing budgets and promotional channels to drive attendance and offset costs.
This alignment ensures consistent visibility and long-term investment in the event’s success.
By combining these strategies, Wine in the Pines is positioned to become a self-sustaining, signature summer festival that
supports tourism, local business growth, and cultural enrichment in Kittitas County.
2500 character limit
Application Questions: Part 4
6| Additional Information
