Response 5: Please explain what plans exist to allow this project to become self-sustaining. Include any plans for ticket sales, event sponsors, and other cost-recovery models.* We are self-sustaining, however, based on the location of Ellensburg there are certain expenses that are not incurred at other locations, primarily lodging for officials. Our plan is to continuing partnering with the college and high school baseball programs to train officials to limit the need to bring in quality officials from out of the area. The rental rate of fields isn't excessive but relative to surrounding areas - Yakima, Moses Lake and Wenatchee they are more expensive. In addition, those locations offer incentives through Sports Commissions, hotel partnerships and nominal facilities costs. In addition to training local officials, we have begun piloting a streaming service that can generate both ad-revenue and pay-per view. Since we are not the only users of these facilities, local high school and other local programming could utilize the streaming for fundraising.
