KITTITAS COUNTY SOLID WASTE ON-CALL <br />CLE ELUM TRANSFER STATION FRONT ENTRANCE DESIGN <br />TEMPORARY FACILITIES AND CONTROLS PW\JA\KITTCO02\ENTRANCE <br />01 50 00 - 2 JUNE 2023 <br />©COPYRIGHT 2023 JACOBS <br />control system shall be setup by, or verified by, the approved <br />professional surveyor for the Project. The Contractor shall have a <br />competent grade checker on staff that can check grade in real-time as <br />the Work progresses using a GS rover and automatic level. The grade <br />checker shall also coordinate with the Engineer for spot checks to <br />confirm layout and staking. Progress surveys and as-built record surveys <br />shall be done independently by the approved professional surveyor. <br />3. Moving Contractor’s field office and equipment required for operations <br />onto Site. <br />4. Installing temporary construction power, wiring, and lighting facilities. <br />5. Providing onsite communication facilities, including telephones and <br />internet service as necessary for Contractor to perform Work. Providing <br />onsite sanitary facilities and potable water facilities as specified and as <br />required by Laws and Regulations, and governing agencies. <br />6. Arranging for and erection of Contractor’s work and storage yard. <br />7. Posting OSHA required notices and establishing safety programs and <br />procedures. <br />8. Having Contractor’s superintendent at Site full time along with safety <br />and CQC monitoring on full-time basis. <br />B. Use area designated for Contractor’s temporary facilities as shown on <br />Drawings. <br />1.04 PROTECTION OF WORK AND PROPERTY <br />A. Comply with Owner’s safety rules while on Owner’s property. <br />B. Keep Owner informed of serious onsite accidents and related claims. <br />C. Use of Explosives: No blasting or use of explosives will be allowed onsite. <br />1.05 VEHICULAR TRAFFIC <br />A. Traffic Control Plan: Adhere to traffic control routing included in Contract <br />Documents and as required by the Owner. Changes to this plan shall be made <br />in written approval of Engineer. Secure approvals for necessary changes so as <br />not to delay progress of the Work. <br />B. Traffic Routing Plan: Show sequences of construction affecting use of <br />roadways, time required for each phase of the Work, provisions for decking <br />over excavations and phasing of operations to provide necessary access, and <br />plans for signing, barricading, and striping to provide passages for pedestrians <br />and vehicles.
