Power: <br />1. Electric power will be available at or near Site. Determine type and <br />amount available and make arrangements for obtaining temporary <br />electric power service, metering equipment, and pay costs for electric <br />power used during Contract period, except for portions of Work <br />designated in writing by Engineer as substantially complete. <br />2. Cost of electric power will be borne by Contractor. <br />B. Lighting: Provide temporary lighting to meet applicable safety requirements <br />to allow erection, application, or installation of materials and equipment, and <br />observation or inspection of the Work. <br />C. Heating, Cooling, and Ventilating: <br />1. Provide as required to maintain adequate environmental conditions to <br />facilitate progress of the Work, to meet specified minimum conditions <br />for installation of materials, and to protect materials, equipment, and <br />finishes from damage because of temperature or humidity. Costs for <br />temporary heat shall be borne by Contractor. <br />2. Provide adequate forced air ventilation of enclosed areas to cure <br />installed materials, to dispense humidity, and to prevent hazardous <br />accumulations of dust, fumes, vapors, or gases. <br />3. Pay costs of installation, maintenance, operation, removal, and fuel <br />consumed. <br />4. Provide portable unit heaters, complete with controls, oil-fired or <br />gas-fired, and suitably vented to outside as required for protection of <br />health and property. <br />5. If permanent natural gas piping is used for temporary heating units, do <br />not modify or reroute gas piping without approval of utility company. <br />Provide separate gas metering as required by utility. <br />D. Water: No construction or potable water is available at Site. Make <br />arrangements for and bear costs of providing water required for construction <br />purposes and for drinking by construction personnel during construction.
