2022 <br />Improvements were completed along Kachess Lake Road at milepost 2.75. This removed the 36-inch CMP <br />and constructed an 18-ft wide box culvert, Bridge no. 13072 (OB). Stream channel work was completed <br />to improve conveyance as well as minimize required maintenance from spring runoff events. <br />Extensive preventative maintenance was completed on the North Thorp Highway Bridge (Bridge no. <br />97341) spanning the Yakima River. The work performed is to extend the life of the NSTM structure. The <br />paint system was removed, and a new paint system applied. Joint repairs and strip seals at the ends of <br />the bridge were also improved. Truss portals, which had been damaged from impact of oversize loads, <br />were repaired. <br />2021 <br />Improvements were completed along North Fork Teanaway Road at mile post 1.36. This removed the 36- <br />inch CMP and 54-inch RCP and constructed a 40-ft precast concrete structure, Bridge no. 16301. Stream <br />channel work was also completed to realign the channel into the historic pathway. <br />2020 <br />An old 48-in arch culvert on Bender Road over Whiskey Creek was replaced with a new three -sided precast <br />box culvert by a land development company. The structure was placed in 2019 and paving and guardrail <br />construction were completed in 2020. <br />Vantage Highway over Coleman Creek Bridge no. 89332 is a new pre -cast 27-foot-long flat slab bridge <br />that replaced two existing culverts, a CMP culvert, and a concrete box culvert. The removal of the two <br />culverts was initiated by Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife to eliminate the existing fish barrier. <br />With a portion of this project being sponsored by the Brian Abbot Fish Barrier Removal Board, <br />construction began in Sept. 2020 and concluded in Oct. 2020. <br />A new structure installed on Fairview Road over Coleman Creek, no.89146 (OB), replaced no.89141 (OB), <br />no. 89142 (OB) and no.89144 (OB). The project removed three existing box culverts and replaced them <br />with a single 18-ft precast box culvert. The structure, creek realignment, and road widening were all <br />completed in 2020. <br />Big Boulder Creek no.34350 is a 60-foot prefabricated modular steel bridge that replaced structure FLTPSI <br />on Forest Service Road 4330 that was load restricted and had a compromised foundation. In 2019 Kittitas <br />County Public Works placed a temporary 40-foot bridge to bypass the structurally compromised structure <br />and returned in 2020 to install the permanent 60-foot bridge and retrieve the temporary 40-foot bridge. <br />Kittitas County 2025 Annual Bridge Report <br />
