wouLd be fragmented, reducing effectiveness and timiting the county's ability to respond
proactivetyto workforce and business needs.
This investment ensures continuity, accountabitity, and measurable outcomes white maximizing
the impact of countywide economic devetopment etforts.
3. Witt your organization be capabte of supporting this position in the future without support
from this fund? Please describe your plan and inctude target dates for implementation and
completion. lf no ptan is currentty in ptace and/or no ptans are being made, please explain
why.
The Chamber's [ong-term goat is to sustain this position through a diversified funding modet that
btends pubtic investment, earned revenue, partnerships, and project-based support. Because the
work performed bythis position is countywide in scope and atigned with pubtic economic
devetopment priorities, ongoing pubtic investment remains an appropriate and necessary
component of its sustainabititY.
ln the near term (2026), this fund wilt continue to support the core coordination and
imptementation functions of the position white the Chamber advances complementary funding
strategies. These include aligning workforce-focused proglamming with earned revenue
opportunities, expanding emptoyer-sponsored and partner-supported initiatives, and integrating
consultant-supported capacity into longer-term operatio nal pta nning.
During 2A26-2027,the chamber witt evaluate outcomes, refine the scope of work based on
demonstrated impact, and pursue additionat partnership and funding opportunities tied to
workforce devetopment and business sustainabitity. This phased approach ensures continuity of
service white avoiding disruption to emptoyer engagement and countywide coordination efforts.
Currentty, a ful.ty independent funding modet is not yet in ptace. This ref tects the reatity that
countywide workforce coordination and economic devetopment imptementation provide broad
pubtic benefit that is not easily sustained through private or earned revenue alone, particutarty in a
frontier ruraI county. Continued support from this fund atlows the Chamber to maintain consistent
capacity, demonstrate resutts, and buitd toward a more diversified funding structure over time.
4, Witl this position serve the needs and/or inte]est ol multipte iurisdictions and/or
organizations? Please exptain in detait.
yes. This position is specificatty designed to serve the needs and interests of muttipte jurisdictions
and organizations across Kittitas County.
The rote functions at a countywide levet, engaging emptoyers, municipalities, education partners,
workforce organizations, and economic devetopment entities throughout incorporated and
unincorporated areas. Rather than focusing on a singte city or program, the position provides
consistent emptoyer engagement and coordination across Etlensburg, Cte Etum, Roslyn, Kittitas,
South Cte Elum, and the broader county.
