VIII. Compensatio.n <br />A. Kittitas County agrees to accept and house Walla Wallaprisoners folcgynensation per <br />prisoner at the mte of $110.00 per day for the yearc2026, and2027 (also see Section <br />VI herein) except as provided below. This rate includes minimum, medirrm and <br />maximum classification inmates. The parties agree that the County will not charge The <br />City of Selah a separate booking fee in addition to such rate' <br />B. The rate of compensation for any iumate requiring additional or specialized-conditions <br />of incarceratiodto the extent that they m,rst be placed alone in a single cell desigued <br />for double occupsncy shall be $220.00 per day zu tne years 2026 and2027. KCJ will <br />promptly notif Walia Walla County if an offender is placed alone in sush a cell unless <br />ihat fiousing is incidental to moving the offender or for short tenn disciplinary <br />separation. <br />C. Tho date of booking into, and the date of release ftonq the Kittitas Cormty Jail of the <br />Walla Walla Prisoners, no matter how little time of a twenty-foru hour day it <br />constihrtes, shall count as one day for biling puqposes and shall be billed to \Malla <br />Walla Cormty as aday of custody inKitdas County. <br />x.Billine and Billine llispute Resolution Prucedures <br />A. The County shatl transmit billings to the designafed contact for V/alla Walla County <br />on the following dates: April 15th, July 15flU October 15th, and January 15th. Within <br />forty-five (45) days afur receip, Wa[; Wa[a County shallply the firll amountbilled <br />o, *itbhold any portion thereot related to disputed medical costs and provide the <br />County witten noti"" specifying the amount withheld and the grounds forwithholding <br />such amoun! together with payment of the remainder of the a:nount billed. <br />B.
