Walla County may present a prisoner for confinement in KCJ pursuant to this ILA <br />unless previously arranged and approved in writing by the Jail Commander or his/her <br />designee or superior. Any prisonertansported by WallaWalla County to the KCJ with <br />docu-mentation showing that the prisoner is being held pursuant to an order entered by <br />any court in Walla Walla County will be presumed to be acceptable for confinement <br />except as otherwise.provided herein. <br />B. If a Walla Walla Cor.rnty Offender behaves in such a manner that ilisciplinary action is <br />needed to correct the behavior, the Walla Walla County offender will be subjected to <br />the sanre disciptinary process utilize{ by the County for the KCJ offenders' If a <br />sanction applied results in loss of good time, KCJ will notifl the Walla Walla County <br />contact. tf th" off"oderbehavior is to the level thatKCJ detemlines they are no longer <br />appropriate for KCJ, notice will be made to Walla Walla County and the offender <br />rimoved from KCJ via either the regularly scheduled ftansport or as can be reasonably <br />ananged by Walla Walla Cormty through speoial tansport. <br />YL Jail and Medicnl Services <br />A. lnmates deemed Walla Walla Prisoners for medical purposes shall mean any pemon <br />incarcerated pursuant to this ILA. These prisoners shall reeeive such medical <br />psychiatric, and dental teahent when emergent and necessary to safeguard their <br />health while housed in the Kittitas County Jail in the same maruler and to the same <br />exbnt as any other prisoner. KCJ will provide or arrange for providing of such medical, <br />psychiakig and dental services. Except for routine minor medical services provided by <br />t}e County within the Kittitas County Jail, IValla'Walla County shall ultimately be <br />responsible and pay dircctly or reimbwse the KCJ fot any and all costs associated with <br />thJdefivery of any emergency or necessary medical serryice provided to Walla Walla <br />Prisoners. Walla Walla County shall be responsible for rry and all emergent or <br />necessary medical, dental, and psychiatric treahent provided outside of the Kittitas <br />County Jail and shall be billed thereafter, <br />B. If the County becomes aware that a Walla Walla Prisoner is in need of medical health <br />care requiring the assistanse of a medical health care services provider outside of the <br />Kittitas County Jail, ttren the County shall make reasonable effort to noti$ Walla Walla <br />County prior to obtaining said service. In the case ofemergency, the County may notiff <br />Walla WaU County after the service has been provided. Due to the realities of <br />hansporting prisoners between Walla Walla County and the KCJ, it is anticipated that <br />other than routine medical appointnaents scheduled in advance, KCJ shall perform such <br />transport and other obligations needed to address the health needs of Walla Walla <br />Prisoners in the same manner as any other inmate of KCJ. Walla Walla County shall <br />be responsible for the cost of all transport and other . To the extent <br />possiblq the parties agree that Walla Walla County will not seek to place its prisoners <br />in KCJ if significant medical care is reasonably antioipated. <br />C.
