Service Service Description
Outcomes and Objectives In this session we will prioritize the high-level business objectives of the project, mapping them to
organizational goals. We will also discuss the criteria for success and identify any obstacles that
we will need to overcome. The goal is to leave with a shared vision of project outcomes.
Current Site and Existing
Designs
In order to design and build a better website, we will need a shared understanding of the current
website. In this session, we will explore the pain points and limitations of the current
implementation. Insights from this session will inform the discussion on technical strategy and
architecture.
Design and Branding
Discussion
Diagram will work with the Kittitas County team to:
• Define all technical requirements, including what, if any, third-party software integrations
will be available at go-live utilizing the Umbraco platform.
• Conduct collaborative design workshops to help both the Kittitas County and Diagram
teams get aligned on design direction, content strategy, and inspiration.
Technical Architecture
Discussion
During this session, we will meet with technical stakeholders to discuss Umbraco, its capabilities,
and how we can balance extensibility and composability to streamline workflows for site admins.
We will dive into integration strategy and identify how best to make use of available APIs and web
services. Lastly, we will cover your Azure infrastructure, security, and what to expect integrating
with and deploying to Umbraco Cloud. The goal of this session is to build a shared vision for a
sustainable technical architecture.
Discovery Workshop Deliverables
Discovery Deliverables Diagram creates a project plan and scope of work for website redesign and platform migration.
This includes:
• Confirmation of refined functional scope (key requirements, components, functionality).
• Project schedule/timeline.
Assumptions Diagram assumes the following:
• Kittitas County will identify stakeholders who will participate in the workshops.
• All stakeholders will be available for interviewing during the planned sessions so that all
requirements and viewpoints can be taken into account.
• Any documentation about the current website and processes should be provided to
Diagram in advance of the virtual meetings to assist with preparation.
AGILE IMPLEMENTATION: DESIGN + BUILD + TEST
Rather than adhering to the traditional model of segregating the design, development, and testing
stages, we adopt an agile methodology for design and development. This integrated approach
ensures that design, content, and functionality evolve simultaneously.
This means you won't have to make final decisions about the design and functionality at the outset based on static
documents or screenshots. Instead, you'll have the opportunity to interact with and provide feedback on working
versions of the site's features and functionality as they are being designed and developed.
