Elements of this design project include <br /> excavation,grading,fence relocation,drainage improvements, base/subbase placement,asphalt paving, and <br /> markings. <br /> The project is depicted on the existing approved ALP as shown in the project sketch shown above.The project is <br /> also justified accordingto the FAA AIP Handbook Table 3-4 as follows: <br /> a. This Project Advances an AIP Policy:Through increasing Airport capacity for based and or transient aircraft. <br /> b. There is an Actual Need:There is a strong demand for storing based/transient aircraft across the state,this is <br /> the case for the Kittitas County Airport as well. Building this hangar taxilane will help prevent restricting use of <br /> the airport.At least one sponsor owned hangar will be situated on the proposed taxilane. <br /> c. The Project Scope is Appropriate:The scope is appropriate as the taxilane design phase is needed prior to the <br /> construction project. No other elements are included in this scope of work. <br />
