BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br /> COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br /> STATE OF WASHINGTON <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 2025 - <br /> ACCEPTING FEDERAL AVIATION ADMINISTRATION FUNDING FOR DESIGN OF <br /> BOWERS FIELD HANGAR TAXILANE COMPLEX <br /> WHEREAS: The adopted Airport Layout Plan(ALP)identifies existing and future facilities at Bowers <br /> Field; and <br /> WHEREAS: The ALP identifies a hangar taxilane complex to allow for additional hangar space and <br /> access to the active runway; and <br /> WHEREAS: Kittitas County Department of Public Works did receive notice from the Federal Aviation <br /> Administration(FAA) supporting its request to construct a hangar taxilane complex at <br /> Bowers Field; and <br /> WHEREAS: The FAA did grant Kittitas County$183,986 in grant funds supporting the design phase <br /> of the hangar taxilane complex project; and <br /> WHEREAS: Funding for the design phase includes a 5 percent match required with the grant funds; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS: Local matching funds are available within the current budget. <br /> NOW,THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners, in the best interest <br /> of the public, does hereby accept Federal Aviation Administration funding for the design <br /> phase of the hangar taxilane complex project; and <br /> NOW,BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED:the Board of County Commissioners does authorize the <br /> Director of Public Works to sign necessary documents to accept the grant funds. <br /> DATED this 25th day of August 2025, at Ellensburg,Washington. <br /> BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br /> KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br /> Laura Osiadacz,Chairman <br /> Attest: <br /> ❑ Clerk of the Board-Julie Kjorsvik <br /> Cory Wright,Vice-Chairman <br /> ❑ Deputy Clerk of the Board-Mandy Buchholz <br /> Brett Wachsmith, Commissioner <br />
