Goal2:Strengthen the homeless service provider workforce <br /> • Objective: Invest in skills, support, and sustainability of staff <br /> • Strategies: <br /> o Make funding available for staff support and development <br /> o learning collaboratives engaging staff across multiple agencies (similar to <br /> Greater Health Now) <br /> ■ Training programs focused on boundaries, wellness and resilience, <br /> trauma-informed care, and client-centered approaches. <br /> • Success Measures: <br /> o Higher staff retention (source: survey providers) <br /> o Improved service delivery(source: Ellensburg Homeless Pannel) <br /> Will these strategies help accomplish the goal? <br /> • Continuing education is needed for retention. <br /> • Clear and concise training module/framework for what to do in certain <br /> situations. Use what's already worked in other organizations. Standardized <br /> framework across organizations, creates a system. Could be useful for business <br /> owners too. <br /> • Intentional information/education for social service employees would make <br /> them feel more cared for. <br /> • Involve police department. <br /> • Consider grantmaking process for funding? Or small fund that organizations <br /> could use for development/training. (KCPHD will look into see if Document <br /> Recroding fees can be used for anything in the plan.) <br /> • Engage with CWU for assistance. <br /> Will we have leadership support for these strategies? <br /> • Yes for goal 2. <br /> Are these strategies realistic and achievable? <br /> • Yes. Are we reaching high enough? <br /> Are these measures appropriate? <br /> • Annual evaluation of what people learned from training funding. Knowledge <br /> sharing. <br /> • Feedback loop on funding for training. <br />
