On May 8t", 2025, our Harm Reduction team hosted a highly successful community forum with <br /> local providers regarding prescribing of medications for Opiod Use Disorders (MOUD). Numerus <br /> partner agencies and community members participated, engaging in great discussions and <br /> questions on this important topic. <br /> Dora Beukelman currently has 3 participants enrolled in the care navigation program. Dora <br /> functions as a peer navigator assisting clients with job applications, housing options,treatment <br /> and other services and resources clients may need. <br /> Health Promotion <br /> Portable Air Cleaners <br /> We have been working on distributing 194 portable air cleaners (PAC)!We have attended a few <br /> community events where we have been able to distribute over 40 PAC units and will continue to <br /> attend events until they are gone.We are excited to be able to provide this great resource to our <br /> community members! <br /> Injury Prevention <br /> We have distributed 16 car seats from January to the end of May,that is 6 more car seats when <br /> compared to 2024 during the same time. Because of this amazing service 16 Kittitas County <br /> children are safer while out on the road with a car seat that properly fits them. Car seats save <br /> children's lives! <br /> Passport Program <br /> The health promotion team will be taking the lead on the passport program.We are going to be <br /> trained July 8th, and once we have our training,we will be able to start processing passport <br /> applications.We will be open for passport application processing 5 days a week. <br /> Tobacco Prevention (Youth) <br /> Rebekah and Nea have been working on getting the Standardized Tobacco Assessment for Retail <br /> Settings (STARS) surveillance survey done throughout Kittitas County.They are getting ready to start <br /> inputting the data.This tool specifically was designed to inform state and local tobacco control <br /> policies for the point of sale, as it pertains to youth prevention.The last data we have for Kittitas <br /> County is from 2018. <br /> Administration and Veteran Services Program <br /> Veteran Services <br /> • It will be 2 years on September 11, 2025 since the start of the program! Congratulations to <br /> Candi Blackford,Timothy Paxton, and Ed Vader for their hard work and dedication to our <br /> community's Veterans. <br /> • The Veterans program is currently partnering with Assessment Coordinator MacKenzie <br /> Carter on two County Veterans surveys: <br /> 27 <br />
