Response 4.2: Describe how you will promote lodging establishments, restaurants, and business located in Kittitas County *
Response 4.3: Is there a host hotel for your event or grant project? If yes, list the hotel.*
5| Future Plans
Response 5: Please explain what plans exist to allow this project to become self-sustaining. Include any plans for ticket sales,
event sponsors, and other cost-recovery models.*
To promote lodging establishments, restaurants, and businesses located in Kittitas County for Winter Glow at the Park, we will
implement a comprehensive marketing strategy that highlights these local offerings as integral parts of the visitor experience.
Lodging Promotion: We would want to partner with local hotels, resorts, and vacation rentals to offer special packages for event
attendees. These packages may include discounted rates, bundled admission to the light event, and extended stay options to
encourage tourists to explore more of Kittitas County's offerings. We will also feature these lodging partners on the event’s
website, social media, and printed promotional materials, ensuring visitors can easily find and book accommodations.
Restaurant Promotion: We will work closely with local restaurants to create partnerships where they might offer special “Winter
Glow” themed menus, drinks or appetizers for attendees. These restaurants will be promoted through the event’s website, social
media, and during the event itself via signage, vendor booths, and event guides. We will also encourage attendees to visit Cle
Elum and Roslyn’s downtown areas to experience local dining options before or after visiting the light event.
Business Promotion: Local businesses will be featured prominently through sponsorship opportunities and collaborative
marketing efforts. Businesses that sponsor light displays or contribute to the event will receive branding visibility at the event and
through our marketing channels, including social media shout-outs, email newsletters, and event signage. We will also work with
the Cle Elum and Roslyn downtown associations to encourage visitors to shop locally, with potential transportation options
helping drive traffic from the park to the town centers and vice versa.
By integrating these establishments into the event’s marketing and experience, we aim to maximize the economic impact for
Kittitas County businesses and ensure visitors engage with the local community throughout their stay.
2500 character limit
No
Yes
To ensure that Winter Glow at the Park becomes a self-sustaining event, we have developed a comprehensive revenue strategy
focused on multiple streams, including ticket sales, sponsorship opportunities, and other cost-recovery models.
1. Ticket Sales: A tiered pricing model will be established to maximize attendance while covering operational costs. This will
include general admission tickets, family packages, and discounted rates for children, seniors, and early-bird purchases.
Additionally, we may implement VIP ticket options that offer special experiences, such as exclusive access times, premium
parking, or special guided tours of the light displays.
2. Event Sponsorships: We plan to seek out sponsors from local and regional businesses actively. Sponsorship opportunities will
include naming rights for certain light displays or event zones, branding on promotional materials, and booth space at the event
itself. Sponsors will benefit from visibility in our marketing campaigns, including social media, local print, radio, and online ads,
as well as on-site signage. This not only offsets event costs but also builds strong partnerships with businesses looking to
enhance their community presence.
3. Merchandise and Souvenir Sales: There is potential for branded event merchandise, such as apparel, ornaments, or glow
sticks. If doable, this creates an additional revenue stream while also providing a memento for attendees, encouraging brand
recognition and return visits in future years.
By combining these revenue streams—ticket sales, sponsorships, and merchandise sales—Winter Glow at the Park aims to
cover its operating costs over time and create a foundation for future growth. This diversified model will enable the event to
become self-sustaining in time while also fostering community engagement and boosting the local economy.
2500 character limit
Application Questions: Part 4
