Response 3: Describe how you will promote your event/activity/facility to attract tourists.*
4| Collaboration
Response 4.1: If your organization collaborates or has created partnerships with other organizations, groups, or other events,
how is this accomplished?*
To promote Winter Glow at the Park and attract tourists, we will implement a multi-channel marketing strategy targeting both
regional and out-of-town visitors, particularly from the west side and north of the county. This strategy will include:
Print: Advertisements in regional publications and visitor guides, highlighting the event’s unique experience and easy
accessibility.
Radio: Festive, winter-themed ads on popular radio stations to reach a broad audience across Seattle and the surrounding
areas.
Television: Visually striking commercials showcasing the event’s light displays during peak holiday programming.
Social Media: Targeted campaigns on platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok, featuring event teaser videos, influencer
partnerships, and geo-targeted ads.
Partnerships: Collaborations with local businesses, hotels, and resorts to create promotional packages and boost awareness.
This multi-channel approach will ensure wide exposure, driving both day-trip and overnight visits to the event.
2500 character limit
Application Questions: Part 3
For Winter Glow at the Park, the Washington State Horse Park (WSHP) would leverage its long-standing relationships with key
organizations and entities to ensure the event’s success. These partnerships include strong connections with the City of Cle
Elum, the City of Roslyn, the downtown associations for both cities and the Kitittias Chamber of Commerce. By collaborating
with these municipalities and associations, the park would work to integrate the event into the fabric of the community,
enhancing the overall visitor experience while supporting local businesses.
Additionally, WSHP would seek to partner with local hotels and resorts, including well-known destinations like Suncadia, as well
as smaller boutique accommodations. This collaboration would help attract visitors from both regional and out-of-town locations,
offering them special packages or incentives to extend their stay and visit the light event. These partnerships would expand the
reach of Winter Glow at the Park, increasing its appeal to a wider audience and boosting regional tourism.
WSHP would also actively engage other local businesses and entities interested in being part of the event. This would include
offering sponsorship opportunities for light displays, where businesses could sponsor specific sections of the park, adding both
visibility and branding for local companies. Along with opportunities for vendors at the holiday market to complimnet local
establishments, potential sponsorships, and joint marketing efforts, the park would ensure that Winter Glow at the Park is a
collaborative, community-centered event. To further enhance collaboration, WSHP would explore transportation options between
the park and downtown Cle Elum and Roslyn, encouraging visitors to spend time in the local shops, restaurants, and
businesses. This would help ensure that dollars spent during the event benefit both the park and the local economy, fostering a
stronger economic impact for the entire community.
2500 character limit
