AirBNB does a pretty good job vetting/rating/and allowing for public facing reviews of tenants that allow hosts to confirm or deny guests. Coming from Snoqualmie Pass living in the Conifer Neighborhood a private road that was privately maintained, the biggest problem was guests getting stuck on unmaintained roads, not a county problem, the residents figured out that they needed to pay for a higher level of service for snow removal so people don't get stuck. Sure some guests are there to party and have a good time, but its a ski resort that's what people go there to do. The HOA of a couple other neighborhoods only allow 30 day minimum rentals which allows for rental income and shy's away the weekend party crowd. It should not be a county issue that imposes rules that negatively impact the entire county for small geographic zones of high density short term rentals. 117 In the upper county short term vacation rentals employ a lot of residents. We used to sit our time 50/50 between Ronald and our 2/6/2025 10:47 AM westside house. Our kids grew older and busier making it harder to come as often. Renting our property had made is possible to maintain ownership. I am all for regulations on ST rentals but am hopeful that there is a grandfather rule in place to allow current rentals to stay rentals.
