IO.4 The following holidays are recognized <br />1.. <br />2. <br />3. <br />4. <br />5. <br />6. <br />7. <br />8. <br />9. <br />L0. <br />1J. <br />12. <br />New Year's Day <br />Martin Luther King's BirthdaY <br />Presidents'Day <br />Memorial Day <br />Juneteenth <br />lndependence Day <br />Labor Day <br />Veteran's Day <br />Thanksgiving Day <br />Native American Heritage DaY <br />Christmas Day <br />One {1) Floating Holiday <br />10.5 <br />10.6 <br />10.4.1 All hours worked on a listed holiday, with the exception of the Floating Holiday, shall be <br />compensated at the overtime (1%l rate of pay. The holiday shall be considered worked for the <br />shift start time that falls on the holiday and shall be paid for the entire shift. <br />1A.4.2 For all regular employees assigned in Jail positions, the listed holidays are included as part of the <br />accrued leave schedule in Arlicle 1"0.1 <br />IA.4.3 For all regular employees assigned in Security positions, the listed holidays will be taken separately <br />from the accrued leave schedule in Article 10'2. <br />1,0.4.4 For Security Deputy staff, whenever a legal holiday falls on Saturday, the proceeding preceding <br />Friday shall be observed as the holiday and whenever such holiday falls on Sunday, the following <br />Monday shall be observed as the holiday. <br />lf Decembe r 24th falls on a regular working day, the Courthouse shall be closed one-half (1/2\ day <br />commencing at noon. lf the Courthouse is closed on Decembe r 24th, either because it falls on a weekend <br />or because Christmas falls on a Saturday, then and in that event, there will be no half (1/21 daV closure on <br />any other date. <br />Should State law be amended to mandate any additional holidays for employees covered by this Collective <br />Bargaining Agreement, then Section 10.1 and 10.4 would be amended accordingly. <br />Accrued annual leave shall be paid to all regular employees who leave the service of the Employer for any <br />reason, subject to the provisions of Section 10.7 below. lf an employee leaves employment for whatever <br />reason prior to the accrual of any of the holidays referenced in Section 10.4 above, said employee shall <br />not be paid for said vacation/holiday day and the appropriate amount shall be deducted from said <br />employee's last paycheck. <br />Annual leave may be accumulated up to a total of two hundred forty (240) work hours (pro-rated for <br />regular part-time employees). Any accrued leave in excess of two hundred forty (240) work hours will be <br />cashed out as straight-time pay as of the last pay period in January, except if said excess accrualis caused <br />10.7
