792CH - Courthouse Union <br />For each recognized holiday in this Section that is worked by employees of Kittitas County Solid <br />Waste, the Employer will choose the preceding or following workday as the legal holiday. <br />For Event Center and Solid Waste employees with a Tuesday through Saturday workweek, if the <br />holiday falls on a Sunday or Monday, the following Tuesday shall be the alternate day off. <br />For each recognized holiday of this Article that is worked by employees of the Kittitas Valley <br />Event Center and Maintenance Department, said employees shall receive an alternate paid day <br />off in lieu of the holiday worked. Said day off shall be taken within thirty (30) days following the <br />holiday worked. <br />LI.2 Whenever a holiday falls within a period when an employee is on PTO leave, PTO leave will not <br />be reduced for the date designated as a holiday (FMLA and PFML may still apply). <br />11.3 Compensation for the above-named holidays shall include regular part-time employees <br />computed on a pro-rated basis, but it will not include limited part-time, seasonal, or <br />temporary/casual em ployees. <br />TL.4 It is recognized that the holidays may vary somewhat in the office of the Kittitas County Clerk in <br />that the Clerk's days of work are set by the Superior Court Judges. <br />11.5 lf December 24th falls on a regular working day, County Offices shall be closed one-half day <br />commencing at noon. lf County Offices are closed on December 24th, either because it falls on a <br />weekend or because Christmas falls on a Saturday, then and in that event, there will be no half- <br />day closure on any other date. <br />ln the event employees of the County Clerk are required to work when County Offices are closed <br />for four (4) hours on Christmas Eve, the Employer shall grant leave for the holiday hours worked <br />on another day within the same work week. <br />For Scale House Attendant employees with a Tuesday through Saturday workweek, when <br />Christmas Eve falls on a Friday, the Employer will choose to close the Scale House at noon or <br />grant four (4) hours of leave for Christmas Eve holiday on another day within the same work <br />week. When Christmas Eve falls on a Monday, there will be no holiday pay or additional one-half <br />day off. <br />ARTICLE XII - SENIORITY <br />t2.I Seniority means an employee's length of continuous service within the bargaining unit since the <br />employee's last date of hire. <br />I2.2 An employee hired to fill a regular position of employment shall be on a probationary status for <br />a period of six (6) months before becoming a regular employee. <br />New employees shall be added to the seniority list six (6) months after their date of hire. <br />12
