Facilitv Management <br />To ensure a safe, hygienic, and welcoming environment at CWS, the following maintenance and <br />cleanliness protocols are in place: <br />Daily Cleaning Schedule <br />Common Areas: Staff and volunteers perform daily cleaning of all common areas, including <br />sleeping spaces, restrooms, and dining areas. Floors are swept, mopped, and disinfected, and <br />trash is emptied regularly. <br />Restrooms and Hvgiene Facilities: Bathrooms and shower facilities are cleaned daily, ensuring <br />they remain sanitary and stocked with necessary supplies like soap, paper towels, and toilet <br />paper. <br />Sleepins Areas: Ensure all bedding, including sleeping bags and mats, is properly cleaned or <br />replaced as needed. Surfaces are sanitized to reduce the risk of illness spread. <br />Weekly Maintenance Checks <br />Facilitv Walkthroushs: The CWS Coordinator or designated staff conducts a thorough weekly <br />inspection of the facility, identifying any maintenance issues such as leaks, heating problems, or <br />broken equipment. <br />Repairs and Reporting: Any identified maintenance issues are documented and addressed <br />promptly. The Coordinator communicates with the Program Manager to submit a workorder and <br />schedule necessary repairs and ensure safety standards are upheld. <br />Deep Cleaning Procedures <br />Monthlv Deep Clean: A more thorough cleaning of the facility takes place monthly, focusing on <br />high-traffic areas, carpets, and hard-to-reach spots. This includes disinfecting surfaces, vents, and <br />larger sanitation projects. <br />Pest Control: Regular inspection for signs of pest activity is conducted monthly to prevent <br />infestations, with immediate action taken if any issues are detected. <br />G uest Responsibilities <br />Personal Belongings: Guests are responsible for keeping their personal spaces tidy and storing <br />belongings in designated areas. CWS provides secure storage spaces for personal items. <br />Cleanliness Expectations: Guests are encouraged to maintain personal hygiene by using the <br />shelter's shower and hygiene facilities regularly.
