<br />The Cold Weather Shelter Coordinator is responsible for overseeing daily operations at the CWS,
<br />ensuring a safe, welcoming environment for guests experiencing homelessness. Reporting to the
<br />Program Manager, this role is essential in fostering a compassionate, non-judgmental atmosphere
<br />and ensuring the shelter runs smoothly. Key Responsibilities include:
<br />Volunteer Coordination: Recruiting, training, and scheduling volunteers, ensuring they are
<br />informed, well-prepared, and supported to fulfill their roles.
<br />Dailv Operations: Overseeing guest intake and check-ins, coordinating shelter shifts, and
<br />responding to guest needs. Ensuring compliance with policies, addressing operational challenges,
<br />and maintaining a safe, clean environment.
<br />lnventorv Management: Tracking and managing shelter supplies (e.g., bedding, hygiene products,
<br />meals), placing orders when necessary, and ensuring adequate stock for the duration of the
<br />shelter season.
<br />Guest Services: Engaging directly with guests, fostering a respectful environment, and connecting
<br />guests with community resources for additional support.
<br />Facilities Management: Monitoring shelter cleanliness, safety, and overall facility conditions,
<br />addressing maintenance issues promptly, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
