Contractor will be the lead entity for all communications related to the CWS to clients, <br />volunteers, and the community at large. <br />Staffing and Volunteers: Contractor will provide all necessary staff and coordinate all <br />necessary volunteers to ensure sufficient operational support. Contractor will provide on - <br />call staff support during all operating hours when staff are not stationed onsite at the <br />shelter. <br />Staff and volunteers must be vetted and trained. This training must include all operational <br />procedures, health and safety requirements, and emergency procedures related to their <br />function or role. <br />Security: Contractor must provide overnight security personnel to maintain CWS safety <br />and to enforce curfews. <br />Food Service: Contractor must provide an evening meal and heavy snack/light morning <br />meal for clients. Food provided at the CWS must be either prepackaged, prepared onsite at <br />the provided commercial kitchen, or prepared offsite at a properly permitted commercial <br />kitchen facility. The Contractor must ensure that any onsite food preparation is performed <br />by individuals holding a valid food handlers permit per WAC 246-217-015. Additionally, per <br />WAC 246-215-02107 a certified Food Protection Manager must always be available during <br />food preparation or service to oversee food safety and ensure compliance with all relevant <br />local and state food safety regulations. <br />Onlyfood sourced from approved suppliers, as defined by WAC 246-215-03100 through <br />246-215-03290 may be used or served. <br />Contractor is responsible for ensuring that all other local and state food safety codes are <br />followed. <br />Health and Safety: The Contractor must maintain the shelter space in a sanitary condition <br />and implement regular cleaning schedules to reduce the risk of spread of infectious <br />diseases. Infection prevention protocols following Centers for Disease Control and <br />Prevention guidance must be in place for cleaning, sanitization, and disinfectingthe <br />facility. Contractor must document policies and procedures to be implemented in the <br />event of an outbreak of infectious disease within the facility. <br />Contractor will consult with the Kittitas County Public Health Department for technical <br />assistance and will notify public health staff immediately in the case of a suspected <br />disease outbreak among the shelter clients. <br />HMIS Data Entry: Contractor must enter client level data in the Homeless Management <br />Information System (HMIS) for each client accessingthe CWS. Contractor must ensure <br />that data for any given month is entered in HMIS no later than the 5th day of the following <br />month. <br />
