Kittitas County Lower Valley Transfer Station <br />September 30, 2024 <br />Page 3 <br /> <br /> Attendance of 4 SCS Team Staff on Final Substantial Completion Inspection <br /> Each SCS staff (4 total) to be onsite for 12 hours for the final inspection <br />2.0 ADDITIONAL ENGINEERING SERVICES <br />2.1 Compost Pond Re-Design <br />SCS will redesign the compost area contact water ponds to account for high groundwater elevations. <br />The design will be based on the highest groundwater encountered during the recent irrigation <br />season. The Owner will provide recent groundwater depths. The design will be submitted to <br />Department of Ecology for review and approval and SCS will submit the revised drawings to the <br />contractor. Drawings C-5B, C-6, C-17, and C-29 will be revised and re-submitted. <br />Assumptions <br /> Revise Drawings C-5B, C-6, C-17, and C-29. <br /> One Submittal to Department of Ecology <br /> One Submittal to Contractor <br />2.2 Additional Support During Bidding Phase <br />SCS will provide additional engineering support during the bidding phase including utilizing and <br />revising Owner requested AIA upfront documents, preparation of final contract documents, and <br />development of conformed set of contract documents and drawings. Documents revised include: <br /> Standard Form of Agreement (AIA 101-2017) – 6 pages <br /> General Conditions of the Contract (AIA 201-2017)- 38 pages <br /> Instruction to Bidders (AIA 701 – 2017) – 8 pages <br /> Supplementary Instruction to Bidders - 1 Page <br /> Supplementary General Conditions of the Contract – 24 pages <br /> Conformed Set of Upfront Documents – 200 pages <br /> Conformed Set of Technical Specifications – 858 Pages <br /> Conformed Set of Drawings – 168 Drawings <br />2.3 Owner Requested Services <br />SCS will provide additional engineering services as requested by the OWNER during the 15-month <br />project duration. Services may include responding to regulatory agency questions/comments, <br />additional construction administration support, and other requests by the Owner. The Owner will <br />provide written authorization to SCS for work performed under this task. Work will be invoiced on a <br />Time and Material basis in accordance with the standard unit rate sheet. <br />ADDITIONAL BUDGET <br />The estimated cost for the additional work described in this Amendment 3 is $438,470. The terms <br />and conditions for this added scope of work will remain the same as those listed in the executed <br />contract.
