<br />Page 1 of 1 <br />Information Technology “Study Session Staff Report”, 11/27/2023 <br />KITTITAS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />STAFF REPORT FOR <br />STUDY SESSION <br /> <br />Information Technology <br /> <br />STUDY SESSION DATE: 3/25/24 <br /> <br />TOPIC: Discussion of the IT Committee – Central Services Committee <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: No Action - Information Only <br /> <br />LEAD STAFF: Bryan Elliott and Doug Fessler <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: Recommending the Central Services Committee act as the IT <br />Committee replacement. <br /> <br />BRIEFING SUMMARY: The IT Committee was a group of experts that would evaluate <br />requests and propose options that would provide the best course of action. The Central <br />Services Committee is a panel that <br /> <br />recreating the IT Committee that will involve a variety of department experts for their <br />experience, insight, and advice to help guide County projects and requests in taking the <br />best course of action. <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: The IT Committee has a long history of being the point of contact for <br />technology related advice on purchases, projects, and services but was dissolved several <br />years ago. <br /> <br />DISCUSSION: The experts being considered for this committee are members that are <br />already associated with the Central Services Committee which brings the IT DH/EO to <br />request the board to approve the Central Services Committee act as an alternate IT <br />Committee. <br /> <br />FISCAL IMPACTS: None <br /> <br />ATTACHMENTS: None
