HuLTz BHU <br />e n g i n e e r s i n c <br />April 25, 2024 <br />KNIT <br />909 South 33611 Street, Suite 107 <br />Federal Way, WA 98003 <br />Attention: Rhonda Gillogly <br />Subject: Kittitas County Jail Facility Renovations <br />Engineering Services Proposal (Revision 2) <br />Dear Rhonda: <br />Thank you for this opportunity to submit our proposal to furnish mechanical and electrical engineering <br />services for this project. <br />Proiect Description <br />Improvements at the Kittitas County Jail Facility. Work requiring mechanical and electrical engineering: <br />1. Jail: Provide power and controls for new public entry doors. <br />2. Jail: Replace entire wet pipe fire sprinkler system with new; repair dry system (alternate bid). <br />3. Jail: Renovate pluming at kitchen/mop area. <br />4. Jail: Correct shower room valve access at K-Module. <br />5. Jail: Clean outdoor rec area drains and drain lines. <br />6. Jai: Add heaters in stairwells adjacent to rec yards. <br />7. Jail: Add heaters in MEP spaces at rec yards. <br />8. Jail: Add corner exterior light. <br />9. Annex: Modify MEP as required for barrier at guard station. <br />10. Annex: Replace rooftop HVAC unit (alternate bid). <br />Scone of Services <br />General: Our scope of work is for systems covered under Division 21 (fire sprinkler), Division 22 <br />(plumbing), Division 23 (HVAC), Division 26 (electrical power, lighting), Division 27 (low voltage systems), <br />and Division 28 (fire alarm) of the Construction Specification Institute (CSI) Manual of Practice. <br />Design Phase: Visit the site to review existing conditions, provide mechanical and electrical engineering, <br />construction drawings, and technical specifications for the project. Provide energy code forms and <br />assist with permit forms. Provide cost estimates for work in our scope. <br />Bid Phase: Respond to bidder questions, review substitutions, and prepare addenda as needed. <br />Construction Phase and Closeout: Respond to contractor questions, review submittals, review pay <br />requests, punchlist review, provide up to six site visits, attend periodic meetings as needed, and review <br />closeout items. <br />1111 Fawcett Avenue, Suite 100 • Tacoma, Washington 98402 <br />T 253.383.3257 .
