4.3 Host Hotel *ls there 6 hosi hotel for your event or qranl project'? lf yes. irst the lrotel.
.No
Yes.
5l Future Plans
Please explain what plans exisi to allow this project to become self-sustaining. lnclude any plans for ticket sales, event
sponsors, and oiher cost-recovery models.
Future Plans *The Cle Elum Downtown Association has begun developing more opportunities for
business sponsorship, adding unique, personal touches to our events. For example,
this year, based on the feedback lrom 2022, in partnership with Dru Bru and a
sponsorship from NW Roots Contruction, the Cle Elum Downtown Association
canned and distributed 2000 cans of water, iree of charge during Pioneer Days. This
was a HUGE hit and elevated not only the CEDA brand, but the Pioneer Days event,
branding and following. W'th this in mind, we have now expanded the lree beverage,
and subsequent sponsorship model to include Boo-Elum (hot apple cider) and
Christmas in Cle Elum (hot cocoa and cookies). We already have sponsors eager to
snag these unique opportunities.
Our investor program provides a broader donor opportunity with the intent to
encourage businesses, organizations, corporations and indrviduals to support their
associations through different donor levels.
The recent increase in the Main Street Tax lncentive Program has enabled the
association to designate more funding for a much-needed increase in staff hours,
programming and a strategic plan. Additionally, the Board of Directors review lhe
budget annually, to see if there aie any opportunities to tncrease our budget,
allocating more funds to promotions and conrmunity engagement events.
Through our coliaboration with our padners, we are able to look at ways to co-fund
or share costs in producing activities and events. For example, over the last (2) year
we have co-funded communal facilities wilh other organizations (like Dru Bru), wiih
increased suppori through in-kind and matching donation during communrty events
(Pioneer Days, Chrisimas in Cle Elum).
2500 characler lnil
Application Questions : P art. 4
6l Additional lnformation
Provide any additional information which wlll assist the Lodging Tax Advisory Committee in evaluating your project and its
benefit to tourism.
