Additional lnformation The Cle Elum Downtown Association has been a key partner in the Revitalization <br />Project that is occurrrng in the downtown core. This summer marked the third phase <br />o{ the revitalization project with the most visible updates and change to the <br />downtown in one very visible section of the downiown. When completed, sidewalks <br />will be expanded, trees, planters and light poles will enhance the look at feel of the <br />downtown. This phase is a showcase of what the downtown care will look like, and <br />now that sidewalks are completed has begun turning our dowrrtown into a more <br />attractive place to visit, with easier walking paths and access to retail. <br />The Cle Elum Downtown Association will continue to invest in improvements. For <br />example, each year iup to 2023) we have allocated no less than $20,000 in small <br />business fagade and landscape improvement grants. This has led to buildings <br />improving building fagade, signage update, landscape improvements which in turn <br />has created a greater sense of pride in both ownership and community involvemenl. <br />ln July of 2023, three of our downtown businesses suffered a catastrophic fire. <br />Through thi$, the Cle Elnnr Downtown Association allocated 112 ol the $20,000 to <br />aid in repair and rebuild. This has also launched lhe new Disaster Reiief Fund that <br />CEDA wili now hold to allocate funds to businesses in our area that have suffered a <br />significanl loss. <br />h 2424. CEDA will be launching a phased approach for new rooitop lights on <br />buildings which wili add to the altraction for downlown on a year around basis. This <br />project is a 2 - 3 year process that will include working with building owners to help <br />iund and support the placement of new lights on their buildings ln additional <br />planning for a new pocket park is also underway. <br />As the renovation phases are implenrented, we will also be working with the city to <br />place new Wayfinding signs that will have a definite impact otr the trafiic paltern and <br />flow lhrough Cle Elum.
