As the business communiiy continues to <br />gain in popularity, we are adapting to ofler more for visitors to explore and <br />experience. ln2O22 we earned the tagline, "Halfway to Everywhere", now, in 2023 <br />we are once again, adapting and looking forward to Cle Flum as a day. or weekend <br />destination. The close proximity to both SeaTac and Yakima airports allow for easy <br />and close access to seasonal recreation. <br />Retail businesses across Cle Elum have shared that visitors and residents alike are <br />expressing excitement in coming downtown ancl seeing all of the positive changes <br />happerring -- lreginning with newly formed partnerships and an overall unity of Cle <br />Elum. Through our continued opt-in zip code reporting, conversation with <br />businesses. the public, Google Analy'tics and social media traffic. we are seeing an <br />increase in visitors kom 1-2 hours away. and in many cases, oulof-state. <br />ln the past 4 years, over 20 new businesses have opened, which has provided more <br />attraction for visitors. New siorefronis and business facade impaovements are <br />aitracting residents to our downtown. and in turn, out of couniy visitors, because <br />visitors like to frequent local establishrrents. Over the years, we have become <br />known as a town thal welcomes visitors, and a business community that encourages <br />visitors to explore the offerings in Cle Elum and Upper County.
