Only Transport Staff authoiized by Walla'Walla County may prcsent a pdsoner for confinement in I(CJ pursuant to this ILA <br />unless previously arranged and approved in writing by the Jail Commander or his/her <br />designee or superior, Any plisoner transported by Walla Walla Corurty to the KCJ with <br />documentation showing that the prisoner is being held pursuant to an order entered by <br />any court in Walla Walla County will be presumed to be acceptable for confinement <br />except as otherwise provided herein. <br />B. If a Walla Walla County Offender behaves in such a manndr that disciplinary action is <br />needed to correct the behavior; the Walla Walla County offender will be subjected to <br />tlre same disciplinary ptocess utilized by the County for the KCJ offenders. If a <br />sanction applied results in loss of good time, KCJ will notify the Walla Walla County <br />contact. Ifthe offenderbehavior is to the level thatl(CJ determines they are no longer <br />appropriate for KCI notice will be made to Walla Walla County and the offender <br />removed from KCJ via either the regularly scheduled transport or as can be reasonably <br />ananged by Walla Walla Couuty tluough special transport. <br />VI. Jail and Medicnl Services <br />A. Inmates deemed Walla Walla Prisoners for medical purposes shall mean any person <br />incarcer:atecl pursuant to this ILA, These prisoners shall receive such nredical, <br />psychiattic, and dental treatment when emergent and necessary to safeguard their <br />health while housed in the Kittitas County Jail in the same mailter and to the same <br />extentasanyotherprisoner. KCJwillprovideoraruangeforprovidingofsuchmedical, <br />psychiatric, and dental services. Except for routine n:inor rnedical services provided by <br />the County within the Kittilas Counfy Jail, Walla V/alla County shall ultimately be <br />responsible and pay directly or reimbwse the KCJ for any and ail costs associated with <br />the delivery of any emergency or necessary rnedical service provided to Walla Walla <br />Prisoners. Walla Walla Counfy shall be rcsponsible for any and all emergent or <br />necessary medical, dental, and psychiatric treatrnent provided outside of the Kittitas <br />County Jail and shall be billed t}ereafter. <br />B. Ifthe County becomes awal€ that a Walla Walla Prisoner is iu need of medical health <br />care requiring the assistance of a medical health care servioes provider outside of the <br />Kittitas County Jail, then the County shall make reasonable effort to rrotify Walla Walla <br />County prior to obtaining said service. In the case of emelgency, the County may notifu <br />Walla Walla County after the service has been provided. Due to the realities of <br />transporting prisoners befween Walla Walla County and the KCJ, it is anticipated that <br />other than routine medical appoinfinents scheduled in advance, KCJ shall perfonn such <br />transport and other obligatioru needed to address the heatlh needs of Watla Walla <br />Prisoners in the sarne mannor as any other inmate of KCJ. Walla Walla County shall <br />be responsible for the cost of all hansport and other auangements.
