2023 Docket Enabling Ordinance December 19, 2023 <br />Page 159 <br /> <br /> <br />12.01.090, repair of any failed facilities and the payment of any outstanding <br />fees. <br /> <br />12.05.02.080 Structure Inspections. <br />The following shall apply to the construction inspection of all bridges and major drainage <br />structures: <br />A. All materials and construction activity, and testing thereof, shall conform to the current <br />edition of the WSDOT Standard Specifications, as amended. <br />B. Prior to construction, the County Engineer shall hold a pre-construction meeting with the <br />applicant’s structural engineer to review the required inspections and documentation. <br />C. The applicant’s structural engineer shall be responsible for inspection, material testing, <br />quality control, and sufficiency of the completed structure. <br />D. All inspection activities and methods shall be subject to approval by the County Engineer. <br />E. Inspection and testing shall be conducted at the direction of the applicant’s structural <br />engineer as frequently as necessary to ensure the construction conforms to the approved <br />plans and specifications. <br />F. A complete written report of all inspections and testing shall be furnished to the County <br />Engineer for approval at completion of the structure. The report shall include all complete <br />log of all inspection and testing activities including all data, calculations, and <br />documentation. <br />G. The county, or the county’s consultant, may perform independent inspections and testing at <br />any time during construction. <br />H. When proposed land use development activities increase the use of existing bridges, the <br />applicant shall be responsible for re-inspection of existing bridges. All inspection and <br />testing results shall be provided to the County Engineer for approval. The following shall <br />also apply: <br />1. Re-inspection of privately owned bridges shall be included in the road <br />certification.
