2023 Docket Enabling Ordinance December 19, 2023 <br />Page 147 <br /> <br /> <br />1. Inspection: Construction shall not begin until permits have been issued. If a <br />Department of Public Works site inspector is not available after proper notice of <br />construction activity has been provided, the permittee may commence work in <br />the inspector's absence. However, Kittitas County reserves the right to not <br />accept the improvement if subsequent testing reveals an improper installation. <br />2. Paving on public roads shall not start until the mix design is accepted by <br />the County Engineer. <br />3. All stationing is based on centerline of roadways unless otherwise noted. <br />4. All elevations are on USGS DATUM with date. Point monument shall be <br />shown on construction location plans. <br />5. Unless otherwise provided for in these plans and specifications, all <br />materials and workmanship shall be in accordance with the requirements of the <br />most current edition of the State of Washington, Department of Transportation <br />Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction and Title 12 of the <br />Kittitas County Code. <br />6. A pre-construction meeting is required with the County Engineer or <br />designee prior to commencing any work on site. Please contact the KCPW <br />office at 509-962-7523 to schedule a pre-construction meeting. Failure to <br />comply may result in a delayed construction start. <br />7. All plans and reports must be approved prior to the pre-construction <br />meeting and must be present at the pre-construction meeting. The Traffic <br />Control Plan, per MUTCD and WSDOT Work Zone Traffic Control Guidelines, <br />must also be present at the pre-construction meeting. Failure to comply may <br />result in a delayed pre-construction meeting. <br />8. Approved construction plans shall be on the job site at all times when <br />project is under construction. <br />9. If adequate inspection is not completed and documented before <br />completion of the roadway construction, it may be necessary for core drilling <br />and testing to be performed to assure an acceptable quality roadway. When <br />core drilling is found to be necessary, the applicant will be held responsible for <br />all costs incurred.
