2023 Docket Enabling Ordinance December 19, 2023 <br />Page 141 <br /> <br /> <br />Drawing Scale: Standardized engineering scales shall be used. The scales listed below are the <br />minimum. More detailed scales shall be required by the county where additional drawing detail <br />is needed. <br />1. Plan and profile plans: Horizontal 1"=50', Vertical 1"=5'. <br />2. Overall site plans may range from 1"=50' to 1"=100'. <br />3. Detail views may be shown at a convenient scale, normally 1=10’ or 1”=20’. <br />Seal and Signature: The seal and signature of the developer's engineer, under whose <br />supervision the plans were prepared, shall be located next to the acceptance block on each <br />sheet. <br />Utilities: The type, size, location and number of all above ground and underground utilities <br />shall be shown. Field verified elevations and locations may be required on the construction plans <br />for all underground utilities that are critical to the design or that may substantially affect the <br />design or construction. It will be the responsibility of the contractor to verify the existence and <br />location of all underground utilities along their route of work prior to commencing any new <br />construction. Field located utilities not shown on accepted construction plans shall be added to <br />the record (as-built) drawings. <br /> <br />Private Improvements: Private improvements such as roadways, driveways, utilities, etc. <br />shall be clearly shown, labeled, and delineated from public roads and roads intended for <br />acceptance into the County system, on each sheet of the construction plans. The note below <br />shall appear on the cover sheet of the construction plans for private improvements: <br /> <br />Kittitas County shall not be responsible for the maintenance of roadway and appurtenant <br />improvements, including storm drainage structures and pipes, for the following private roads: <br />(list). <br />Typical Sections: Typical roadway cross section for all roadways, existing or proposed, within <br />and adjacent to the proposed development. The typical sections shall appear on the detail <br />sheet, or if no detail sheet has been used, on the first sheet of the submittal showing roadway <br />design. They shall indicate the following: <br />A. Type of roadway(s), per KCC 12.03 Roadway Classification. <br />B. Profile grade design point (centerline, flow-line, top of curb, lip of gutter, etc.)
