This task includes the development of a work plan for hydrogeologic characterization, siting the location
of one new well, and coordinating with regulators. Once a work plan is developed and accepted by Ecology,
Parametrix will assist the County with procurement and well construction and develop a report documenting the
work.
This task includes the following actions:
• Review existing hydrogeologic information and develop a work plan for the drilling of a well including the
well depth, type of drilling, hydrogeologic analysis
• Perform a site visit/reconnaissance to select a location for one new groundwater monitoring well. Attend
virtual meetings with HWA, Parametrix, County, and Department of Ecology staff regarding the new well
• Develop plans and specifications for procurement of a licensed well driller to drill a monitoring well up to
200 feet below ground surface
• Provide oversight of the selected drilling contractor, review submittals, assist County with contract
• Oversee drilling, well construction, well development, and geologic observations
• Prepare boring/well log
Kittitas County Solid Waste
Groundwater Monitoring Well, LPL Closure, Biosolids Expansion 2 September 2023
Area, and Air Permit
