Fwd: EverGreen Sna Berk
Ira Astrachan <ira.astrachan@kprdl.org>
To: Ira Astrachan <Info@kprd1.org>
Tue, Mar 7, 2023 at 6:49 PM
From: Jason Holmes <jay.holmes44@gmail.com>
Date: March 7, 2023 at 10:32:56 AM PST
To: Tim Penelerick <trpsnow@aol.com>
Cc: Bob Seelye <robert.seelye@gmail.com>, Max R <maxrochester@hotmail.com>, Jason Goldstein
<jason.goldstein@parks.wa.gov>, WAYNE MOHLER <wfmohler@msn.com>
Subject: EverGreen Sno Park
Good afternoon:
On behalf of the Upper County Recreation Program I would like to express our
support to allocate funding to properly repair and maintain the Evergreen Sno
Park . The towns of Easton, Cle Elum, Roslyn, Ronald, Kittitas County and
visitors from other municipalities and counties will benefit by having access to one
of the region's finest greenways via the Evergreen Sno Park.
The EverGreen Sno Park is an ideal candidate for grant funding. It incorporates
many important features and is a great model for trail planning and development:
working with corporate/public interests to support trails
securing donations from businesses and the public
planning inter -community linkages for recreationalists
promoting the importance of volunteers in the outdoor
environment
generating tremendous community support
promoting cooperation among agencies and jurisdictions
finding opportunities for outdoor recreational education
Thank you for your consideration of the EverGreen Sno Park . We will look
forward to publicizing this project and coordinating efforts for success.
Best regards,
6 Jason Holmes
Alpine
Principle/Upper Coutny Recreation Association
