Parkins and Public Roads We plan to park participants, staff, and volunteers along the north side of Umptanum Road, in the vicinity of 13800 Umptanum Road. This is an area that sees some parking already by recreational users of the trails. The road is wide along this stretch, so there will be ample room for two-way traffic. Event staff will manage and direct parking to ensure efficient use of space, to leave lanes open for two-way traffic, including any emergency and official vehicles, and to avoid damage to the road shoulder or adjacent vegetation. Participants will be notified of the parking directions and to follow staff directions in pre-event information. The road will remain open and available for normal use, and thus no closure, traftic control, or detour will be needed. Sanitation We will arrange for portable toilets in adequate number (1 toilet per gender per 100 attendees, plus one extra). These facilities will be located near to the parking, check-in, and finish location, within a 100-foot walk of the check-in and finish. They will be sited on already impacted ground in order to protect vegetation around the trailhead.
