**MAZAROOUSPAYDIFFERENTIAL**An8percentdifferentialisapplicabletoemployeesemployedinapositionthatrepresentsahighdegreeofhazardwhenworkingwithorincloseproximitytoordnance,explosives,andincendiarymaterials.Thisincludesworksuchasscreening,blending,dyinc,mixing,andpressingofsensitiveordnance,explosives,andpyrotechniccompositionssuchasleadazide,blackpowderandphotoflashpowder.Alldry-houseactivitiesinvolvingpropellantsorexplosives.Demilitarization,modification,renovation,demolition,andmaintenanceoperationsonsensitiveordnance,explosivesandincendiarymaterials.Alloperationsinvolvingre-gradingandcleaningofartilleryranges.A4percentdifferentialisapplicabletoemployeesemployedinapositionthatrepresentsalowdegreeofhazardwhenworkingwith,orincloseproximitytoordnance,(oremployeespossiblyadjacentto)explosivesandincendiarymaterialswhichinvolvespotentialinjurysuchaslacerationofhands,face,orarmsoftheemployeeengagedintheoperation,irritationoftheskin,minorburnsandthelike;minimaldamagetoimmediateoradjacentworkareaorequipmentbeingused.Alloperationsinvolving,unloading,storage,andhaulingofordnance,explosive,andincendiaryordnancematerialotherthansmallarmsammunition.Thesedifferentialsareonlyapplicabletoworkthathasbeenspecificallydesignatedbytheagencyforordnance,explosives,andincendiarymaterialdifferentialpay.**UNIFORMALLOWANCE**Ifemployeesarerequiredtowearuniformsintheperformanceofthiscontract(eitherbythetermsoftheGovernmentcontract,bytheemployer,bythestateorlocallaw,etc.),thecostoffurnishingsuchuniformsandmäintaining(bylaunderingordrycleaning)suchuniformsisanexpensethatmaynotbebornebyanemployeewheresuchcostreducesthehourlyratebelowthatrequiredbythewagedetermination.TheDepartmentofLaborwillacceptpaymentinaccordancewiththefollowingstandardsascompliance:Thecontractororsubcontractorisrequiredtofurnishallemployeeswithanadequatenumberofuniformswithoutcostortoreimburseemployeesfortheactualcostoftheuniforms.Inaddition,whereuniformcleaningandmaintenanceismadetheresponsibilityoftheemployee,allcontractorsandsubcontractorssubjecttothiswagedeterminationshall(intheabsenceofabonafidecollectivebargainingagreementprovidingforadifferentamount,orthefurnishingofcontraryaffirmativeproofastotheactualcost),reimburseallemployeesforsuchcleaningandmaintenanceatarateof$3.35perweek(or$.67centsperday).However,inthoseinstanceswheretheuniformsfurnishedaremadeof""washandwear""materials,mayberoutinelywashedanddriedwithotherpersonalgarments,anddonotrequireanyspecialtreatmentsuchasdrycleaning,dailywashing,orcommerciallaunderinginordertomeetthecleanlinessorappearancestandardssetbythetermsoftheGovernmentcontract,bythecontractor,bylaw,orbythenatureofthework,thereisnorequirementthatemployeesbereimbursedforuniformmaintenancecosts.**SERVICECONTRACTACTDIRECTORYOFOCCUPATIONS**Thedutiesofemployeesunderjobtitleslistedarethosedescribedinthe""ServiceContractActDirectoryofoccupations"",FifthEdition(Revision1),datedSeptember2015,unlessotherwiseindicated.**REQUESTFORAUTHORIZATIONOFADDITIONALCLASSIFICATIONANDWAGERATE,StandardForm1444(SF-1444)**ConformanceProcess:Thecontractingofficershallrequirethatanyclassofserviceemployeewhichisnotlistedhereinandwhichistobeemployedunderthecontract(i.e.,theworktobeperformedisnotperformedbyanyclassificationlistedinthewagedetermination),beclassifiedbythecontractorsoastoprovideareasonablerelationship(i.e.,appropriatelevelofskillcomparison)betweensuchunlistedclassificationsandtheclassificationslistedinthewagedetermination(See29CFR4.6(b)(2)(i)).Suchconformingproceduresshallbeinitiatedbythecontractorpriortotheperformanceofcontractworkbysuchunlistedclass(es)ofemployees(See29CFR4.6(b)(2)(ii)).TheWageandHourDivisionshallmakeafinal
