Following is a description of the various meth- ods of input. 6.1 Direct Input A common method of inputting data is to type them into the input field on the worksheet. Values can be separated by commas, spaces, or any combination of the two (Figure 30). Values can be typed in any order in the box; however, the order of entry determines the order of values on output tables and the order that labels are put on graphs. As an alterna- tive to typing a value, a click on the Guide button gives you a list of all possible values (Figure 31). Items in the Value column are those entered in the input box. The Descrip- tion column provides information about the item. If you click on a line, it will tum blue, indicating selection. You can select multiple values by clicking on several lines; you do not need to hold down the control (Ctrl) key. Clicking on a selection again will remove the blue indicator, and the value is no longer selected. As an example, if you click on the fuel model Guide button, the 53 available standard fuel models are shown. Custom fuel models are added to the list when they are first de- veloped and, in future sessions, when their folder is attached (Section 10.2).
