4.2 Promoiing Local Business* Desctibe how you v/ill promote lodging establislrnrents. restaurants, and bilsiness localed in Kiltilas County Our new website will continue to provide business directory for lodging, food. and services. The difference will be that the directory will be tagged to a google map and online tools which make them even more visible through social media and online search engines. Offering this update mode of search off of our websiie ties the Memorial Day Celebration directly to resources a traveler might utilize. We will coniinue to add sponsors and donors to our website to help promote iheir business. Easton has several campgrounds; State, Federal and private which will also be added to our website. We are in the process of identifying B&B's, VRBO's. and Airbnb's that might like lo have additional exposure through our website. As we become more familiar with posting on FB and lnstagram, we will have the ability to tag and / or promote our lodging facilities. We've found that lodging facilities and our businesses like having the postcards. or smal! cards on our event. We will continue to use those and rnclude a eR code that links back io our website and the lodging resources we have available. We have found that people like to look at our YouTube on the parade. see a list of parade pafiicipants and Street Fair vendors. Include any plans for ticket sales, event sponsors, and other cost-recovery models. Future Plans*We continue to look for ways to help sustain our celebration. Each year we have been able to increase our sponsorship, we obtained a gambling license to sell more raffle tickets and ask for donations to support ihe costs of the celebration. We work hard lo seek additional funding to not only support this impofiant event. but to meet the rising costs associated with hosting events- For example. this year our budget includes additional costs associated with COVID to ensure we are offering a safe celebration. We will work hard to increase sales of our successful raffles that we hold and seeking sponsors and donors in support of the celebration. We are also seeking additional funding from different sources such as the Suncadia Fund for Enhancement. Our committee works hard to identify additional ways to cover the expenses that are incurred for the Memorial Day Celebration.
