Paid advertising on Kittitas and <br />Yakima radto stations. design and distribute posters and flyers, place paid ads on <br />our social media platforms and keep our website updated with Memorial Day <br />celebration activities. The comnrittee works together to distribute information on the <br />Memorial Day Celebration. From Snoqualmie Pass to Ellensburg, print flyers and <br />posters are placed in as many locations as we can possibly put them. We print small <br />postcards that are distributed event to lodging locations so that their guests are <br />given them when they check-in. lnformation on the Easton Memorial Day <br />Celebration is posted on Discover Cle Elum. Kittitas County Chamber of Commerce, <br />Easton School District, Easion Fire Department, and multiple Facebook pages. This <br />has provided a tremendous amount of free promotion. We plan to continue with <br />these partnerships and look for additional ones that can help promote to a larger <br />audience. <br />This year through a generous donation, we will be able to update our website and <br />make it more interactive to visitors. For thirty-one years our event materials have <br />been either hand made or designed by committee members using limited <br />knowledge. This year we are updating our publiciiy by adding additional funds jn our <br />Memorial Day Celebration budget to receive help with our publicity and event <br />promotion. lt ts time for us to identify and adopt some new or expanded ways in <br />which we can promote this wonderful celebration_ We recognize that in ihe two years <br />since our event has occurred, there ate new tips and ways to atttact visitors and <br />tourists. A lot of these changes align to online ntarketing and social media tools, <br />sueh as geofencing, lnstagram, paid advertising. YouTube and increasing our co- <br />marketing with local partners to obtain help in sharing about our event. <br />2500 character limit <br />Application Questions: Part 3 <br />4l Collaboration <br />lfyour organization collaborates or has created partnerships with other organizations, groups, or other events, <br />how is this accomplished? <br />4.1 Collaboration *The Easton Memorial Day Celebration Committee takes time, each year, to confirm <br />partnerships and identify possible new ones. The commiitee is made up of <br />community members and those who represent the Easton Fire Department, Easton <br />School District, local organizations and businesses in Easton. Many of our partners <br />provide important components of the day's celebration. As an example, the Cabin <br />Creek Cruisers host the car show. the lron Freedom Motorcycle Club host the <br />motorcycle show, the Snomads snowmobile club host the beer garden. Our <br />partnership wiih the Easton School enables us to use their parking lot for the <br />KidZone which is one of our most popular activities during the day of celebrating. <br />Our publicity partners include the North Kittitas County Tribune who provide a partial <br />donation of our ads, Kittitas County Chamber of Commerce for iheir supporl of <br />advertising the celebraiion. <br />2500 characler limil
