As the
event became more popular. and more volunteers came on board to plan. the event
became a daylong celebration. The celebration increased from offering a parade to
adding a street fair, car shoq motorcycle show and KidZone.
Seeing the opporiunity to provide a unique event in a very small town, the committee
began to look for more ways to market and promote the celebration. With the help of
Kittitas CLTAC grant funds the committee additional marketing options to help
spread the work about the Memorial Day Celebration. Using paid advertising. online
marketing. printed posters and flyers that were dislributed widely, we saw out small
local event growing into a popular event which began drawing more and more
people 50 miles or fariher away. ln 2019, we had our largest participation, 4,000
people! Our small-town community event has become a small-town celebration to
pui on your calendar and aitend.
2500 ciraracler li$i1
Application Q uestions'. ? art. 2
3l lmpact
