4.2 Promoting Local
Business*
Describe holv you vill pronole lodgisg establishnrents restaLrrairts, and busiress locaied irr Kittitas Cosnty
The very nature of our event creates a draw for the whole county. which benefits
businesses of all types (i.e. restaurants, hotels, shops. etc.).
Specific ways we promote other businesses include rraking space available for
makers/growers to sell their products and promoting those busrnesses by
highlighting them on our social media platforms. And, while Covid has impacted
many of our direct partnership efforts (for example, Pape (formerly WA Tractor)
doesn't have tlre inventory to host "Touch a Tractor"), we plan to get those rolling
again in 2022.\Ne will also be offering multi-tiered sponsorship opporlunities which
will feature partners on-site, on our web site and social media platforms. We would
also be happy to work with a host hotel.
Finally, while it's noi measurable, we (as the owners) dedicate ourselves to vislting
with as many guests as possible {because we love doing it and ii's a great way to
get more information!). We love sharing everything Kittitas County has to offer with
guests...from restaurants and places to stay to our favorite shops, sweel splurges,
hiking trails and more.
2500 character litrrit
4.3 Host Hotel*ls lhere a hosl hotel ,or yol.f evenl or granl ptolect? As to the
farm. we have made good on our plans to expand into the summer season. While
this is not part of the funding request. we feel that the more exposurelguest traffic
the farm has, the better it is for our fall event.
To our fall event itself, we took a big step in2020, introducing paid admission. This
has generated a more consistent source of revenue. Going forward, we will be
looking at more consistani sponsorship oppotunities as well.
2500 rharacler lirnit
Application Questions: Part 4
6l Additional lnformation
Provide any additional information which will assist the Lodging Tax Advisory Committee in evaluating your
project and its benefit to tourism.
